About Burge Bird Rescue
Burge Bird Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill organization serving the Kansas City area that takes in unwanted pet birds, provides veterinary care, and finds them forever homes. The rescue houses birds in the Rescue Room, an addition to Burge Bird Services, the veterinary clinic owned by Dr. Julie Burge. They accept birds with medical issues and wild birds like pigeons, and deploy to help animal victims of disasters. Burge Bird Rescue also provides education to bird owners.
