Agave Veterinary Care and Exotic Animal Hospital is a locally-owned, full-service veterinary practice located in Leander, Texas (greater Austin area), offering compassionate medical and surgical care for dogs, cats, and a wide variety of exotic species. Opened in May 2023 at 10824 E Crystal Falls Pkwy, the hospital quickly established itself as one of the few dedicated exotic animal practices in the Williamson County region. The practice is led by Dr. Sarah Miller, DVM, who has been practicing in the Austin area since 2013 with expertise in dog and cat internal medicine, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and small exotic species including rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, rodents, and reptiles. Dr. Juliette Pruitt, DVM (Texas A&M, 2017) is a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV) with special interests in avian and exotic medicine, animal behavior, and ultrasound—including hands-on experience with large parrots during her training. The hospital provides vaccines, preventive care, blood work, same-day sick visits, digital X-rays, ultrasound, dentistry, and surgery. Their exotic animal program covers ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, small rodents, reptiles, and birds. The facility is open Monday–Tuesday and Thursday–Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday by appointment, with Wednesday and Sunday closed.
